"The Curlew Reel", also known as "The Curlews", "Darach de Brun’s" or "Road to Cashel" is an
Irish reel in B Dorian. The parts are played AABB. It was composed by Mullaghbawn, south

"The Curlews" (plural), named for the Curlew mountains, a low range in County Roscommon and
County Sligo.
It was printed in Flaherty's Trip to Sligo (1990) and Miller's Fiddler’s Throne (2004).
It was recorded by Josephine Keegan on The Keegan’s Tunes (2002), Johnny Whelan & Eileen Ivers on
Fresh Takes (1987), Altan on Horse with a Heart (1989), John Whelan & Eileen Ivers on The Celts
Rise Again (1990), Folan & Davey on Skin and Bow.
