"The Curlew Reel", also known as "The Curlews", "Darach de Brun’s" or "Road to Cashel" is an<br> Irish reel in B Dorian. The parts are played AABB. It was composed by Mullaghbawn, south<br> County Armagh, fiddler Josephine Keegan (b. 1935). Her composition was originally titled<br> "The Curlews" (plural), named for the Curlew mountains, a low range in County Roscommon and<br> County Sligo.<br> It was printed in Flaherty's Trip to Sligo (1990) and Miller's Fiddler’s Throne (2004).<br> It was recorded by Josephine Keegan on The Keegan’s Tunes (2002), Johnny Whelan & Eileen Ivers on<br> Fresh Takes (1987), Altan on Horse with a Heart (1989), John Whelan & Eileen Ivers on The Celts<br> Rise Again (1990), Folan & Davey on Skin and Bow.<br>
